San Miguel Arcángel /Archangel Saint Michael, Nicola Fumo

ESP Escultura de Madera policromada que representa a San Miguel Arcángel, realizada a finales del s. XVII por el escultor napolitano Nicola Fumo. En 1692 fue donada por la duquesa de Albuquerque al Monasterio de la Purísima Concepción de Ágreda (Soria), donde sigue a día de hoy. Representa al Arcángel Gabriel derrotando a Lucifer, que en esta ocasión se representa compañado de un segundo demonio.

ENG Polychrome wooden sculpture representing Saint Michael the Archangel, made at the end of the 17th century by the Neapolitan sculptor Nicola Fumo. In 1692, the Duchess of Albuquerque donated it to the Monastery of the Immaculate Conception of Agreda (Soria), where it remains today. It represents the Archangel Gabriel defeating Lucifer, who on this occasion is depicted accompanied by a second demon.
